Sr Software Engineer - Impact AI

Description

The company's Impact product combines AI, analytics and human expertise to help organisations speed up value and digital transformation. The Impact team builds the platform that lets global enterprises make faster, data-driven decisions.

You would work alongside engineers, designers and strategists on customer-facing features.

Responsibilities

• Use the company's AI capabilities to build scalable, reusable software that has a measurable effect on users and business processes.
• Apply prompt engineering and design scalable architectures for AI-powered solutions across the organisation.
• Work with product owners to turn business and user needs into well-architected features, and own your work from design through implementation, automated testing and delivery.
• Build extensible, user-friendly software that lets customers customise and use AI-driven functionality for their own problems.
• Build fast, intuitive JavaScript UI components, such as with LitJs, DaisyUI or TailwindCSS, that can adapt to customer-specific needs.
• Add automated testing frameworks such as Playwright to CI/CD workflows so releases stay consistent and high quality.
• Take part in design and code reviews, promoting good practice in performance, maintainability and testability.
• Help design and improve AI-enabled products, and raise the reliability, observability and production readiness of the existing product suite.
• Find and fix performance problems across the stack to keep systems scalable and responsive.
• Mentor colleagues on software craftsmanship, responsible AI use and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience using AI to improve workflows, decisions or product features, such as integrating AI APIs, automating processes or analysing AI-driven insights.
• You work mainly in JavaScript, but strong background in Java or Python is also valued.
• 4+ years of enterprise-level software engineering experience.
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns and performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines, and a commitment to engineering excellence and reliability.
• An analytical approach to designing AI solutions for complex problems.
• Working knowledge of IDEs, debuggers, profilers, source control and Unix-based systems.
• Enjoy collaborating, care about craftsmanship, and keep learning.
