Founding Designer

Description

The company is building the core operating system for modern restaurants and is small and moving fast. It works with well-known hospitality brands. You will help set the direction of the product and its design from the start.

The team wants a founding product designer with strong systems thinking and close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design complex, data-driven interfaces for CRM dashboards, guest profiles, segmentation, reporting and campaign builders.
• Take messy data from POS, reservations, reviews, email and SMS and turn it into clear workflows operators can follow.
• Set the information architecture and interaction patterns for daily tools used by non-technical staff.
• Work closely with engineers to build well-crafted interfaces.
• Work directly with the founder on product direction and on turning the brand into product design.
• Create design standards, systems and tooling that can grow with the company.
• Visit and talk with restaurant operators to learn their workflows and real constraints.
• Bonus: brand and graphic design experience to support the GTM team on brand activations.

Requirements

• Experience taking products from 0 to 1.
• Strong skills in systems design and information architecture.
• Ability to turn complex data models into simple user experiences.
• A portfolio that shows strong visual taste and attention to detail.
• Experience designing for non-technical users who are solving hard problems.
• An ownership mindset and sharp product instincts.
• Experience with the latest AI tools and building internal design harnesses.
• Interest in hospitality, restaurants or consumer-facing software.

Conditions

Full-time, in person, five days a week in the SoHo office.

Salary range of $160K to $200K, plus equity.
