Forward AI Deployment Engineer (FDE)

Description

The company redesigns how client operations run, building AI into the operating logic from the start rather than adding it on top of existing processes.

You will work inside the client's operation to find the process that is costing them time, quality, or money before any tooling is chosen.

Each engagement should leave behind patterns, infrastructure, and governance that have already held up in production, so the next client starts further ahead and later engagements look very different from the first.

Responsibilities

• Own the full redesign of a workflow, including the decision steps and handoffs that involve AI, and take the resulting system into production yourself.
• Turn a loosely defined, cross-functional business problem into a specific technical plan the client's team can carry out.
• Build quick prototypes that show the client what is possible, then develop only the parts the redesigned workflow needs.
• Where the workflow requires them, build agentic systems, RAG pipelines, or custom data pipelines. These serve a running production workflow and are never the goal in themselves.
• Coordinate stakeholders across the client's organization, raising risks and asking for support early, before they turn into delays.
• Train the client's team by working alongside them and explaining the reasoning behind each decision, so they can run and improve the system after you move on.
• Set up telemetry, evaluation pipelines, and human-in-the-loop review from day one so the system keeps improving after you leave.

Requirements

• Track record of moving AI systems from prototype into production in a live operating environment, not only in labs or sandboxes.
• Practical, current skill with LLM and RAG architectures, agentic systems, cloud platforms, and data pipelines, used as means to redesign work rather than as deliverables.
• Ability to map decision logic that is partly undocumented, with sound judgment on where automation should stop and human accountability should begin.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, including advising clients directly and escalating without waiting to be asked.
• BFSI experience is a must-have: proven commercial delivery for banking, financial services, or insurance, including understanding business processes, spotting operational challenges, and implementing technology suited to that domain.
