Student Position: Software Toolchain Development (f/m/d)

Description

This is a part-time student role on the Toolchain team in Gratkorn, in the greater Graz area, where you work alongside experienced engineers on software tools used in a professional development setting.

You will work across several programming languages and technologies on real engineering tasks, in an international environment, while studying.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and debug software tool components in Java, Python, C and C++.
• Help automate build and test systems using Jenkins.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Support compiler development by analyzing and reproducing reported issues and checking that fixes work.
• Work with experienced engineers and gain practical insight into professional software development.

Requirements

• You are currently enrolled in Computer Science, Information and Computer Engineering, Software Development, Mathematics or a related field.
• You have solid programming skills in Java and C/C++.
• Would be a plus: first experience with Eclipse, Python, C, LLVM/compilers, Git, SVN and/or Jenkins.
• You speak and write English well.
• You work independently, in a structured way, and with accuracy.
• You are willing to take initiative, learn and adapt in a fast-moving technical environment.
• You communicate well and work well in a team.
• You must hold valid work authorization.
• You are available for about 20 hours per week.

Conditions

You may or will be responsible for security-related tasks, and the work may or will fall within the scope of security certifications, so you need to work carefully and reliably.

The minimum salary is EUR 2.800,- gross per month for a full-time equivalent position at the company in Austria.
