ETL Tech Lead - VP

Description

This senior Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst role sits in the Technology group, within Applications Development, and is based in Tampa, Florida.

You will set up and roll out new or revised application systems with the Technology team, leading application systems analysis and programming work.

Responsibilities

• Work with several management teams to integrate functions toward shared goals, then identify and define system upgrades that launch new products and improve processes.
• Solve complex, high-impact problems by examining business processes, system processes and industry standards in depth.
• Bring deep applications programming expertise to your area and make sure every application design follows the overall architecture blueprint.
• Apply detailed knowledge of system flow to set standards for coding, testing, debugging and implementation.
• Build a thorough understanding of how business areas such as architecture and infrastructure fit together to reach business goals.
• Analyze issues in depth, interpret what you find, and design new solutions.
• Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts, and assign their work as needed.
• Weigh risk carefully when business decisions are made. Protect the firm's reputation, its clients and its assets, drive compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy, use sound ethical judgment in conduct and business practices, and escalate, manage and report control issues openly.
• Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

• Good experience with Hadoop-centric schedulers and ETL in big data settings.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Recommended: 13+ years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis.
• Recommended: extensive experience in systems analysis and in programming software applications.
• Recommended: a record of delivering projects successfully, including managing them.
• Recommended: subject matter expert in at least one area of applications development.
• Recommended: ability to shift priorities quickly as circumstances change.
• Recommended: proven leadership and project management skills.
• Recommended: clear, concise written and verbal communication, shown consistently.
• Recommended: building Python data integration jobs and improving a framework that follows ETL standards.
• Recommended: designing and delivering ETL solutions that expand and maintain a centralized reference data platform.
• Recommended: developing Ab Initio graphs and plans in the Graphical Development Environment (GDE) and Co-Op, for continuous and batch processing with data quality checks.
• Recommended: hands-on Ab Initio work with graphs, plans, PDL and DML, plus a track record designing and building ETL pipelines and services. Experience moving Ab Initio workloads to Python.
• Recommended: strong at large-scale data processing, both file-based and streaming pipelines with Kafka integration.
• Preferred: a master's degree.

Conditions

Full-time position.

Based in Tampa, Florida, United States.

Primary location base salary range is $113,840.00 to $170,760.00.
