The company is looking for an enterprise architect focused on cloud and digital sovereignty to help shape its enterprise cloud strategy and architecture.
You will set the direction for cloud architecture across public, private, hybrid, multi-cloud and sovereign setups, so that technology decisions fit business goals, security needs, regulatory duties, data residency and digital sovereignty.
You will sit where enterprise architecture meets cloud, security, legal and regulation, helping the organisation decide well in a European cloud market that keeps growing more complicated.
The company offers end-to-end corporate technology and software solutions and has more than 51,000 staff in 30 countries.
Responsibilities
Set the enterprise cloud architecture strategy for public, private, hybrid, multi-cloud and sovereign environments, tied to business, technology, security and regulatory goals.
Turn sovereignty requirements, such as data residency, jurisdiction, operational control, technology dependency and exposure to extraterritorial laws, into architecture principles and design choices.
Define target-state architectures and reference patterns for compute, storage, networking, identity, integration, platform services and cloud-native features.
Write cloud governance principles and guardrails covering landing zones, account and subscription structure, policy enforcement, tagging, cost control and workload placement.
Set architecture principles for identity and access, network security, encryption, key and secrets management, and Zero Trust.
Assess sovereign and trusted cloud models and decide where they belong in the strategy, based on workload sensitivity, regulation, risk and business needs.
Work with Legal, Compliance, Security, Risk and Data Protection to convert regulatory and sovereignty rules into architecture decisions.
Guide application, platform and infrastructure teams through cloud migration and modernisation while keeping architecture consistent and meeting sovereignty requirements.
Define principles for portability, interoperability, exit and reversibility to manage strategic dependencies and lock-in.
Lead architecture reviews and help with technology risk assessments for cloud work, focusing on data classification, jurisdiction, security, resilience and sovereignty.
Advise senior stakeholders on cloud architecture, sovereignty, technology dependencies, risks and strategic trade-offs.
Track changes in cloud technology, European digital sovereignty, cybersecurity and regulation, and judge their effect on the enterprise architecture roadmap.
Requirements

You have deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, plus a solid grasp of hybrid and multi-cloud architecture principles.
You understand digital sovereignty and cloud regulation well, including data residency, jurisdiction, GDPR, NIS2 and extraterritorial laws such as the US CLOUD Act.
You have designed or governed cloud landing zones, multi-account or multi-subscription setups and cloud security architectures.
You know identity and access management, network design, encryption, key and secrets management, and Zero Trust in cloud settings well.
You understand key management models including BYOK, HYOK and HSM-based key management.
You have worked with hybrid and multi-cloud patterns, covering portability, workload placement, and exit or reversibility.
You are familiar with enterprise architecture frameworks and modelling approaches such as TOGAF, Zachman or ArchiMate.
You work well with Security, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Data Protection, infrastructure and application teams on complex cloud and sovereignty questions.
You explain technical, regulatory and sovereignty trade-offs clearly to both technical staff and senior business leaders.
You turn complex security, regulatory and sovereignty requirements into practical architecture decisions.
You are at ease working across technology, risk, legal requirements and business priorities.
You can explain trade-offs between sovereignty, security, functionality, cost, scalability and operational complexity.
You build good collaboration between Architecture, Cloud, Security, Legal, Compliance and business stakeholders.
You balance long-term architectural thinking with a practical view of delivery.
