About the role

As an Engineer Lead, Cloud , you will design and guide secure, scalable, resilient and supportable cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will translate business and technical requirements into practical cloud architectures and migration strategies. Working with customers and teams across engineering, operations, networking and security, you will provide technical leadership for complex cloud initiatives and help establish architecture standards and best practices.

Your key responsibilities

Design cloud infrastructure and solution architectures across Microsoft Azure and AWS, including compute, storage, networking, identity, security, backup and disaster recovery.

Lead architecture and technical planning for cloud migrations, modernization initiatives and new cloud deployments, including assessment of existing infrastructure, applications and dependencies.

Develop hybrid and cloud networking architectures using virtual networks and VPCs, routing, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, private connectivity and DNS.

Define migration strategies that address workload dependencies, sequencing, connectivity, resiliency, rollback and operational transition.

Partner with customers and internal teams to translate requirements into technical designs, provide architecture guidance during implementation and promote security, governance, reliability, scalability and cost awareness.

What you bring

Required qualifications

Strong hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise cloud environments, with advanced experience in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS and the ability to work across both platforms.

Strong knowledge of cloud and infrastructure architecture, including compute, storage, networking, identity, backup, disaster recovery, high availability and hybrid connectivity.

Experience designing or delivering server, infrastructure and application-environment migrations from on-premises environments to public cloud.

Experience translating business and technical requirements into complete solution architectures and troubleshooting complex cloud and infrastructure integration issues.

Strong communication and technical leadership skills, with the ability to explain architecture decisions and risks to customers, business stakeholders and technical teams while working independently across multiple initiatives.

Preferred qualifications

Experience with services such as Azure Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup and Azure Migrate, or comparable AWS capabilities, as well as SD-WAN and BGP.

Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform and with cloud governance, identity, security and landing-zone architectures.

Experience in managed services, customer-facing technology organizations or regulated and security-sensitive environments; Microsoft Azure or AWS architecture certifications are preferred.

The impact you’ll make

As an Engineer Lead, Cloud , you will turn complex customer requirements and existing infrastructure environments into secure, resilient and supportable cloud architectures. You will help define future-state environments, address migration and connectivity dependencies, clearly explain architecture decisions and guide engineering teams through implementation and complex technical challenges.
