Description

The company is the 1 autonomous sourcing platform revolutionizing the way all organizations buy & sell. The company equips procurement teams with automation, AI, and GenAI so they can source more competitively at scale. Our solutions for tail spend and strategic sourcing help innovative procurement teams reduce cycle times, drive out costs, meet ESG/Diversity targets, and provide a better stakeholder experience to internal partners and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • We’re looking for a hands-on engineering leader to own the platform the rest of our product is built on: infrastructure and delivery, shared services such as identity and single sign-on, and the infrastructure our data platform runs on. You’ll lead a small team of platform engineers and stay close to the code, especially in your first year. Today much of this work is held by one or two people. Your job is to turn it into a platform our product pods can build on without waiting for anyone.
  • Lead and grow the platform team: set direction, hire, coach, and keep the team shipping.
  • Own our cloud infrastructure and delivery pipeline (AWS, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, CI/CD) and make it fast, safe, and boring.
  • Own shared services the whole product depends on, starting with identity, SSO, and user provisioning, and give each one a clear owner, interface, and roadmap.
  • Own the infrastructure layer of our data platform, including the streaming and storage our data engineers build on, and make it largely self-running, automated, and observable.
  • Raise our security and compliance posture: dependency and framework currency, security scanning that blocks rather than warns, and the controls behind SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
  • Run reliability: observability, incident response, and an on-call rotation that’s sustainable.
  • Make the platform easy to build on for engineers who work with AI coding agents every day. We build our own internal tooling, agentic systems, and custom harnesses, so the platform should provide clear paved roads, good defaults, and guardrails.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • Experience leading a platform or infrastructure team while staying hands-on.
  • Deep experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar).
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to review and write production code in at least one of Python, Go, Java, or Kotlin.
  • A security-minded approach to multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Daily use of AI tools in your own engineering and operations work, and opinions on how a platform should support teams that build with them.
  • Fluent written and spoken English. English is our working language across Boston and Warsaw.
  • Bonus Points
  • Change data capture and streaming in production (Debezium, Kafka, or managed equivalents).
  • Data engineering experience with lakehouse or warehouse technologies such as Iceberg, Snowflake, or dbt.
  • SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audits, or experience operating regulated or segregated environments.
  • Identity and access management in B2B SaaS (SAML, OIDC, SCIM).
  • Experience at a growth-stage company where you built the platform team rather than inheriting it.
  • We are looking for exceptional candidates who want to help grow our company into a global enterprise and make their mark on the B2B tech industry. Come soar to new heights with us!
  • The company is an equal opportunity employer, and selects individuals best matched for the job based upon job-related qualifications regardless of race, religion, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age, ancestry, national origin, gender identity, genetic information, disability, pregnancy, veteran or military status or any other status or characteristic protected by law.
