Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM) (f/m/d):

In Ditzingen LI-HYBRID

The company in Germany is part of an internationally leading technology group in the defence and security, aerospace as well as cyber security and digital identity markets.

In Ditzingen, you’ll find security solutions for border surveillance and protection, border controls, the protection of civilian and military facilities, and tactical communications. This is the right place for you if you want to work with us on battle-proven, highly mobile radars for ground and coastal surveillance, or on night vision goggles and multifunctional thermal imaging devices. Join the company team of experts specializing in radars, optronic sighting systems for armored military vehicles, or the security of Bundeswehr field camps. We look forward to meeting you!

As an Engineering Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in the successful execution of customer projects involving advanced mobile radar systems. Acting as the central interface between engineering disciplines, project management, procurement, customers, and external partners, you will ensure the timely and efficient delivery of innovative solutions that meet demanding operational and technical requirements.

Your Mission:

Lead the engineering execution of customer projects involving advanced mobile radar systems, ensuring successful delivery from development through to customer acceptance.

Manage and coordinate engineering work packages across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring delivery milestones, quality targets, and customer expectations are met.

Plan, prioritize, and oversee engineering activities, resources, schedules, and technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Provide engineering leadership and coordination across internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and external partners.

Ensure effective configuration management and technical governance throughout project execution.

Drive compliance with established hardware, software, and systems engineering development processes, standards, and quality requirements.

Identify and manage technical risks, issues, and dependencies to support successful project outcomes.

Monitor engineering performance, including technical progress, schedule adherence, cost tracking, and forecasted completion costs.

Prepare and present project and engineering status updates to customers, management, and key stakeholders.

We are looking for:

Extensive professional experience in engineering management, ideally within the defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries, within international customer projects.

Proven experience in planning, scheduling, and controlling engineering activities, including resource management and cost estimation.

Solid understanding of relevant defense or aerospace standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD-810H.

Experience within mechanical engineering and/or electrical engineering domains (plus).

Previous exposure to complex system integration or radar-related projects.

Strong customer-oriented mindset and commitment to delivering successful project outcomes.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proven ability to provide leadership and influence across cross-functional teams without direct reporting lines.

Ability to balance technical, operational, and commercial objectives in a dynamic project environment.

Professional proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.

This is achieved with courage, versatility and the firm intention to make the demanding challenges of our time safer and more inclusive. With our sustainable value-focused management we support diversity actively.
