The company provides mission-enabling solutions for global security, including battle management and cyber systems, through a range of secure, integrated and multi-domain technology.
This role leads the coordination and tracking of engineering changes (ECs) and new drawing releases so they are implemented accurately and on time for program and production needs.
You are the main contact between design engineering, manufacturing, quality, configuration and data management, Programs, and Engineering Project Managers, keeping communication clear and workflow disciplined. This is a Principal or Senior Principal level role.
Relocation assistance may be available. No clearance is required to start. The clearance type is Secret. Travel is 10% of the time.
Responsibilities
Own coordination of ECs and new drawing releases from start to finish, planning, reviewing and implementing each change on schedule.
Track every workflow step for each EC and new drawing daily in a detailed worksheet, so progress stays visible and deadlines hold.
Hold daily tag-ups with the design engineering team to review EC status, work through processing problems, and bring in extra resources when issues stay open.
Measure time spent at each step against set benchmarks. When a step runs long, follow up, offer help, and escalate to senior management if progress stalls.
Work with design engineering, manufacturing, quality, configuration and data management, Programs, and Engineering Project Managers to collect inputs, solve problems, and move EC decisions forward.
Smooth out handoffs in a complex, multi-stakeholder workflow so each step moves along.
Make sure released drawings and EC records meet configuration control, revision and traceability rules in Teamcenter MPLM and other systems in use.
Build and maintain EC and drawing release schedules, metrics and status reports for leadership and stakeholders.
Record lessons learned from each EC to improve troubleshooting and speed up future processing.
