Description

The company is hiring a Staff Technical Program Manager for its bench and hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) ecosystem. You will drive cross-functional delivery, manage suppliers, and keep strategic work aligned across next-generation benches, compute, sensor, and software platforms.

The role centers on complex supplier networks that support autonomous vehicle and software-defined vehicle (SDV) bench development. You will keep hardware, embedded software, platform infrastructure, AI training, and vehicle integration schedules on track.

You will work where vehicle, compute and sensor hardware, embedded software, supply chain, purchasing, and AV platform development meet, and guide the HiL ecosystem from concept through production.

Responsibilities

  • Run execution across the strategic suppliers that support vehicle platform and AV programs, from start to finish.
  • Manage schedules, technical dependencies, risks, and escalation paths across hardware, software, and infrastructure.
  • Work with purchasing, supply chain, engineering, and program teams so supplier deliverables meet vehicle milestones and production readiness targets.
  • Lead issue resolution, recovery plans, and escalations to executive level.
  • Monitor schedule adherence, quality, integration readiness, and cost impact.
  • Hold external partners accountable for compute platforms, sensors, middleware, diagnostics, networking, firmware, validation, and AV infrastructure.
  • Coordinate supplier onboarding, development milestones, validation readiness, and change management.
  • Help shape sourcing strategy and supplier engagement to support future platform scale and reduce risk.

Requirements

  • You have 8+ years in technical program management, supplier management, systems engineering, or complex program leadership.
  • You have managed strategic suppliers and cross-functional technical programs in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or distributed systems settings.
  • You understand embedded systems, compute platforms, vehicle E/E architecture, and software platform development.
  • You have run hardware-software integration programs with outside vendors and engineering partners.
  • You have a record of managing supplier execution, technical dependencies, schedule risk, and escalations.
  • You have worked with purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering organizations.
  • You know the product development lifecycle, validation cycles, and launch readiness processes well.
  • You lead across functions, communicate well with executives, and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • You can drive work forward in highly ambiguous, fast-moving technical environments.
  • Bonus: you have supported autonomous vehicle (AV) or software-defined vehicle (SDV) programs.
  • Bonus: you have managed suppliers for compute platforms, sensors, networking, or embedded software.
  • Bonus: you know AV software development pipelines and CI/CD ecosystems.
  • Bonus: you have supported hardware bring-up, validation benches, HIL environments, or integration labs.
  • Bonus: you have worked on sensor stack integration with cameras, radar, and lidar.
  • Bonus: you have managed global supplier networks and complex technical escalations.
  • Bonus: you have worked on diagnostics, middleware, firmware, or platform infrastructure programs.
  • Bonus: you have supported SCx, L2+, or L3 autonomy feature deployments.
  • You must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis and pass a Motor Vehicle Report review.

Conditions

The role is hybrid. You are expected to be on site at a specific location at least 3 times a week, or more often if your manager sets a different frequency.
