Embedded Software Test Development Engineer (f/m/x)

Description

The company is a technology leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, supplying high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions.

Roughly 80 percent of the world's microchips are made with its technology, which helps produce smaller, more powerful and more energy-efficient chips.

Responsibilities

• Implement and validate test concepts as part of the development team.
• Help internal staff and external service providers put test concepts into practice.
• Build automated system tests with standard methods such as HIL.
• Apply current technology to raise the test coverage of software systems.
• Set up and extend end-to-end test systems.
• Watch test runs and generate test reports automatically.
• Write up test procedures and improve them over time.

Requirements

• A technical degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics or another STEM field, or comparable professional experience.
• Extensive experience developing automated tests for hardware-related software.
• Experience writing software tests with Python and pytest.
• Experience using Azure DevOps to add tests to CI pipelines.
• Experience with testing frameworks for automating functional tests in embedded software development is desired.
• Strong system integration skills and a systematic way of working.
• Good teamwork, strong self-motivation, initiative and independence.
• Good command of German and English.
