Description

The company is a global sports brand that makes footwear, apparel and accessories. It operates in more than 120 countries and has around 22,000 employees.

This role sits in the Consumer Intelligence & Engagement group, which builds the personalisation, recommendation, consumer intelligence, experimentation and AI-driven decisioning tools that shape digital consumer experiences, including membership and loyalty.

As a Quality Engineer, you will check the AI services behind personalisation and recommendations by writing and running functional and automated tests. You will work with the Lead Engineer, Product Owner and Engineering Manager to confirm that the personalisation features meet their requirements and deliver a strong consumer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Write and run functional, integration, API and automated tests for personalisation, recommendations, experimentation and consumer intelligence features.
  • Build and maintain automated suites that cover API, integration, functional and end-to-end testing.
  • Work with engineers, leads, product owners and data engineers to build quality into every stage of development.
  • Test recommendation results, personalisation rules, customer segments and experiment flows through automated and hands-on exploratory testing.
  • Prepare and manage test data and scenarios for personalised consumer journeys.
  • Confirm that the experience is consistent and stable across browsers, devices and digital journeys.
  • Use AI-assisted quality tools to widen test coverage, speed up regression runs and catch more defects.
  • Keep improving automation coverage, test stability and quality practices.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of testing large-scale distributed backend systems on cloud-native platforms, ideally for personalisation.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright (Preferred), Cypress, Appium or similar tools.
  • Experience with API testing and contract testing.
  • Experience managing test data.
  • Experience validating personalisation features.
  • Ability to design an A/B testing approach.
  • Experience with cross-browser testing tools such as BrowserStack or similar (Preferred).
  • Experience using coding agents, LLMs or AI-assisted engineering tools to improve delivery and developer productivity.
  • Experience in eCommerce, retail or consumer digital products (strongly preferred).

Conditions

Applicants are considered without regard to race, colour, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age or disability, and hiring decisions are made by people, not automated systems.
