The company's Innovation Team works on securing the AI-powered products of the next generation of intelligent edge devices.

The team explores topics including AI model protection, adversarial AI, privacy-preserving machine learning, agentic AI security, confidential computing and trustworthy AI.

The work targets automotive, industrial, IoT and edge applications, with ideas that are meant to scale to products used by millions of people worldwide.

The team is looking for curious people, researchers, builders and innovators who are enthusiastic about AI, and welcomes recent PhD graduates, postdocs and candidates with an exceptional AI-focused Master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Protect AI models, algorithms and data against new and emerging threats.
• Research and build prototypes of next-generation AI security technology.
• Investigate adversarial AI, model extraction attacks, privacy-preserving AI and trustworthy AI.
• Secure AI workloads that run on advanced semiconductor platforms.
• Turn research findings into working prototypes and concepts for future products.
• Work with experts in AI, security, software, hardware and silicon engineering.

Requirements

• You have recently completed a PhD, a postdoc or an exceptional Master's degree, or are close to finishing one, in AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, computer science, embedded systems, cryptography, electrical engineering or a related field.
• Ideally, you have experience with some of the following: AI and machine learning, large language models (LLMs), deep learning, adversarial machine learning, AI security, privacy-preserving AI, trusted execution environments (TEEs), PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX or similar frameworks, and Python with experimental prototyping.
• Most importantly, you are passionate about AI and want to apply it to real-world products.
• The role suits people who read AI papers for pleasure, try out the latest models and frameworks in their own time, enjoy hard technical problems, want their research to become real products, and are drawn to the overlap of AI, security and semiconductor technology.

Conditions

You may be responsible for security-related tasks, and the work may fall under security certifications, so you need a careful and dependable way of working.

The position is in Gratkorn, Austria, and is a full-time role graded in Employment Group IV of the collective agreement 'Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Gewerbe und Handwerk und in der Dienstleistung', as required by the Austrian Equal Treatment Act.
