Description

The company is hiring a senior audience development and digital marketing director on a fixed-term contract covering a 12-month parental leave.

The role focuses on growing fan audiences and driving sales for new releases and catalogue titles across the client roster, and includes acting as a strategic marketing lead across the team.

Responsibilities

  • Help the Marketing Strategists plan and run strategies that build artists' own fan audiences through email and SMS.
  • Act as the main UK contact for CRM and audience development, promoting good practice with the company's internal and third-party tools.
  • Create scalable acquisition frameworks and benchmarks that work across artists, genres and campaign types.
  • Set campaign KPIs and benchmarks for each acquisition channel, market, artist and campaign type.
  • Write case studies and best-practice guidance so successful acquisition approaches can be scaled across the organization.
  • Support the Marketing Strategists on creative, innovative campaigns, and work with the Paid Media team on digital ads across Meta, TikTok, Google, Snapchat, Spotify and other platforms.
  • Look for artist and label development opportunities, using internal resources and outside tools or services that could strengthen campaigns.
  • Work across departments to deliver digital and real-world marketing activations, and build fan community relationships that increase campaign reach and effectiveness.
  • Spot problems early and propose solutions to keep release campaigns on schedule.
  • Balance label needs with flexibility, reacting quickly to priorities that arise outside the normal process while keeping the longer vision in view.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years in audience development, digital marketing, fan acquisition, growth marketing or a related field, in the music industry or a similar sector.
  • A proven record of building and running campaigns that grow audiences.
  • Genuine interest in the music business and a wish to build a career in it.
  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms and their current trends and updates.
  • An understanding of digital service providers and how they can be used in campaigns to boost music consumption and discovery.
  • Strong skill with analytics tools to track and interpret release performance, trends and metrics.
  • Preferred: basic Photoshop, HTML and video editing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, able to liaise between artists, labels, internal teams and external clients.
  • A plus: familiarity with Google Suite and project management software.
  • Strong project management across several campaigns at once, with a highly organized, detail-focused approach, multitasking and prioritizing to tight deadlines.
