Description

The PDEGO team at the company is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Permissions Platform team, based in the King's Cross London office.

You will work with the team lead to set technical direction and see products through delivery. These products help artists and record labels worldwide. The role mixes hands-on coding with technical leadership, and you will work alongside Product, Design and Engineering to turn complicated needs into dependable, scalable solutions.

The company works in more than 70 countries with a wide range of artists, from international stars to independent acts. It sits where music, entertainment and technology meet, and it values artistic integrity, transparency and entrepreneurship. It is part of a larger family of global companies.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the technical design and delivery of products within a cross-functional team, tying engineering choices to user needs and business priorities.
  • Build across the technology stack, writing clean, tested, maintainable code and setting a high bar for quality.
  • Weigh scalability, reliability, security and performance against the need to ship.
  • Work closely with Product and Design to clarify requirements, weigh trade-offs and split large initiatives into clear milestones.
  • Take part in technical design discussions and code reviews, explaining decisions clearly and getting the team aligned.
  • Lead improvements to testing, observability, deployment and operational reliability.
  • Share what you know and help build a culture of continuous learning and technical ownership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • A solid record of building and shipping full-stack web applications using TypeScript, React, GraphQL and Python.
  • Experience designing microservices and APIs, with a good grasp of REST, HTTP, OAuth and related standards.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and experience running reliable production services.
  • Skill at improving application performance, page load times and reliability.
  • A commitment to automated testing, including unit and integration tests, and to engineering practices that let teams release with confidence.
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical colleagues, so decisions are well informed.
  • Comfort working in an agile, product-led setting, handling ambiguity and balancing long-term technical goals against immediate priorities.
  • A genuine interest in mentoring others and building an environment where engineers can share ideas, take ownership and develop.

Conditions

Based in the King's Cross London office.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and assesses candidates on merit, qualifications, competence and talent, regardless of protected characteristics.

Benefits

  • A competitive salary and bonus scheme.
  • Music perks: free vinyl, gig tickets, live shows in the office and skip-the-queue access at major UK festivals.
  • Office classes in breathwork, yoga and Pilates, plus monthly craft sessions such as perfume making, pottery and sushi rolling.
  • Pub quizzes and album and single launch events.
  • An on-site restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, and baristas on-site across two floors.
  • Private healthcare and dental cover, with the option to add family members.
  • 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays and the winter recess.
  • Regular social activities: drinks, running clubs, football teams, fantasy football, gigs and a movie club.
  • Quarterly PDEGO socials, such as bowling, Formula 1, karaoke and bingo.
  • Discounts on other brands in the group, including electronics and movies.
  • Entertainment and dining discounts through Tastecard, NightKey and Gourmet Society.
  • Chances to contribute to the company's Social Justice Fund.
  • A modern office built for productivity, creativity and teamwork.
  • A generous pension scheme, life assurance and income protection.
  • Investment in your professional growth and development.
