Digital Presales Technology Consultant - Storage with French

Description

This role is hybrid, with an expectation of about 2 days per week in a company office.

The company helps organisations connect, protect, analyse and act on their data and applications, from edge to cloud.

The team supports the sales organisation with technical expertise during deal pursuits.

Responsibilities

• Give technical support, and where needed lead, in building and delivering technology solutions that fit each customer's business needs.
• Build and maintain customer relationships that keep customers satisfied.
• Serve as the deepest source of product and technology expertise for customers in deal pursuits.
• Analyse complex technical information and explain it clearly to different audiences.
• Hold technical discussions with requestors and customers.
• Keep your technical knowledge current and demonstrate it, and deepen your expertise in one specialist area.
• Work out technical proposals and configurations that help customers reach their business goals.
• Contribute to complex architecture, design and sizing by identifying site-specific parameters and constraints.
• Deliver your work within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) and track it in the ticketing system.
• Manage customer expectations and respond to concerns professionally.
• Communicate with customers and partners with clear technical competence.
• Learn new products and features on your own and find resources to do so.
• Take on extra tasks such as product lead or coordinator, working with people inside and outside the team.
• Share knowledge and experience with peers, and train and coach new colleagues.
• Handle administrative tasks related to this work.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in IT or a related technical specialty.
• A proven IT background, shown through work history or education, with the ability to analyse technical information and communicate it to different audiences.
• 1-3 years of experience in the technology industry, with a focus on technical selling.
• Fluent written and spoken English and French.
• Analytical skills, with the ability to spot and solve problems.
• Solid technical skills in your assigned specialist area.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Basic project management skills.
• Good business and financial judgement.
• Knowledge of consultative selling methods, such as active listening, framing, whiteboarding and storytelling.
• MS Office skills.
• Basic knowledge of social media, blogging and similar information-sharing tools.
• Knowledge-based or experience-based industry certifications are preferred.
