Digital Presales Solution Architect with German

The Sofia Solutions Center, based in Bulgaria, is part of the worldwide presales organization that handles solutioning and pricing for the company's as-a-service, operational services and managed services portfolios.

The center supports sales teams in EMEA and LAC, as well as direct customers and partners, and is built to meet set turnaround times and deliverable expectations.

The company is a global edge-to-cloud business that helps customers connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications, wherever they run.

This is a hybrid role: you will work from an company office on average 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support sales with pricing for opportunity solutions, meeting agreed expectations.
• Own end-to-end pricing for solutions within the center's scope.
• Work with sales and pursuit teams in each Geo or country to understand customer needs, then produce pricing quotes and statements of work for deals in pursuit.
• Help design specific deliverables and contribute to developing technical solutions.
• Check that incoming deals meet acceptance guidelines.
• Understand a wide range of the company's technology so you can build part of a detailed technical design that meets customer requirements.
• Identify the technology needed to reach the customer's business goals, and communicate with customer and internal contacts at every level and in every region.
• Over time, you may take a deal from initial solutioning and pricing through to full end-to-end management, including customer contact, without a local solutions architect involved.
• Use your knowledge of the portfolio to better support requesters.
• Use suitable tools to support proposal development.
• Reuse knowledge tools and existing information to benefit projects and your own development.
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and steer discussions when needed.
• Focus on the customer, handle escalations, and balance the needs of the customer and the internal Sales, Pursuit and Delivery teams.

Requirements

• A university degree, preferably in a technical field such as computer science or IT engineering.
• Desired: 2-5 years of professional experience in technical roles and/or presales.
• Fluent written and spoken English and German.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Quick at learning technology concepts and understanding what each technology is for.
• A strong customer service mindset.
• Very good skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Technical background valued: knowledge of servers, virtualization, storage and networking, which is mandatory for end-to-end solutioning.
• Expertise with HPE pricing tools is valued.
• Presales experience is valued.
• Fluency in another foreign language is an advantage, such as Turkish, Czech, Polish or Hungarian.

Conditions

Hybrid work, with on average 2 days per week in a company office.

Based in Bulgaria, in the Services function, job level TCP02.
