DevOps Platform Engineer

Description

The company is looking for a DevOps Platform Engineer for its Digital Infrastructure team, which builds and develops an automated development platform.

The role calls for someone who can work largely on their own and deliver scalable solutions that make life easier for developers and speed up software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build, run and keep up automated software delivery (SDLC) workflows for development teams.
• Improve and tune a platform made of Backstage, GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, Nexus and Sonar.
• Create reusable templates, CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts and infrastructure modules.
• Lead the industrialisation of the platform by defining standards, best practices and technical documentation.
• Work with Architecture, Security, Operations and Development teams to deliver secure, reliable and scalable solutions.
• Help improve the platform by pushing automation, operational efficiency and a better user experience.
• Help application teams get onboarded and collect their feedback to guide adoption and future changes.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps or similar roles.
• Proven experience with GitLab CI/CD, delivery automation and repository management.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, and configuration management with Ansible.
• Experience working with Backstage, Nexus and Sonar.
• Solid grasp of DevOps, Platform Engineering and automation across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Experience designing and maintaining pipelines, reusable frameworks, templates and automated workflows.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, Secure SDLC practices, enterprise platform operations and AI-assisted software development is highly valued.
• Experience in regulated environments or financial services is a plus.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• Fluent French is a plus.

Conditions

Hybrid work: 50% onsite and 50% remote.

Location: Parque das Nações, Lisbon.
