DevOps Lead with Telco experience

Applications management covers software from release onward, including monitoring, upkeep and tuning, so that it meets business needs and delivers real value.

You will work on a strategic telecommunications account, alongside colleagues in Romania and across the wider company.

The role calls for technical leadership, sound judgement in complex and unclear situations, and ownership of key technical results.

Responsibilities

• Plan and set up network, security and cloud infrastructure designs.
• Provision, configure and fix large-scale RAN platforms and their infrastructure.
• Build and maintain test environments and lab IT infrastructure services.
• Run automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code, using Terraform among other tools.
• Guide the wider team on technical matters.
• Keep operations stable, resolve incidents and keep environments reliable.
• Handle ticket-based support for infrastructure and test tool problems.
• Manage test environment pooling and verify clusters on large systems.
• Track system performance and apply tuning to improve efficiency and cut running costs.
• Oversee security and compliance across infrastructure and cloud.
• Plan capacity and manage resources so infrastructure is used well.
• Coach and grow team members, encouraging continuous learning and high technical standards.
• Handle stakeholder and vendor relationships, keeping service delivery and escalation paths in order.
• Write and maintain infrastructure configuration records, processes and runbooks so knowledge can be shared.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in telecommunications.
• At least 3 years of recent hands-on work provisioning, integrating and troubleshooting large-scale RAN platforms.
• Solid grasp of networking, including IP protocols, routing and firewall design.
• Strong Linux administration skills, covering system commands and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Thorough knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes containers, with advanced hands-on experience using Kubernetes to orchestrate and manage workloads.
• Substantial knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) principles and uses.
• Proven hands-on work with radio emulators such as DICE, C1, L1BP, C2RS/MIB and CTX.
• Verified experience validating and verifying clusters on large-scale systems.
• Established experience designing and running cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools, Terraform in particular.
• Strong problem solving and systematic troubleshooting.
• Clear communication of technical topics and effective teamwork across disciplines.
