Senior Full-Stack Engineer with .NET and Angular

The company is building dedicated software engineering teams under a strategic partnership with a global insurance and risk advisory firm, supporting its Insurance Consulting and Technology Division.

That division has over 1,700 colleagues across 35 markets and is a global leader in P&C, Life and Health insurance software and advisory. More than 1,000 insurers worldwide use its advisory and software.

You will work only with this client, helping to bring AI-enabled engineering practices, modern ways of working and insurance technology know-how into next-generation insurer products and services.

You join through a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, working closely with the client on a dedicated team while building your career as a company employee.

The team modernises the user experience, backend services and cloud platform of a business-critical distributed compute platform. It runs large-scale insurance modelling jobs, dynamically provisions Azure compute and gives analytical services a shared cloud base.

The platform's aim is to move from its current form to a modern, Azure-native platform. You will learn deep cloud platform engineering and distributed systems while working with platform engineers, architects, product owners, DevOps engineers and QA specialists.

Success means meaningful modernisation across the platform, secure and maintainable frontend and backend changes, better reliability, scalability and performance, consistent use of agreed standards, and steady contributions to automation, CI/CD and engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Build modern Angular applications to replace legacy AngularJS user and administration portals.
• Design, build and maintain.NET backend services that support distributed compute workloads.
• Build and improve REST APIs used by several business applications.
• Modernise legacy platform features without disrupting the business.
• Write scalable, maintainable and secure software using current engineering practices.
• Help move workloads to Azure Container Apps and containerised deployments.
• Support the adoption of Infrastructure as Code with OpenTofu or Terraform.
• Contribute to cloud-native modernisation work.
• Help modernise deployment pipelines and release automation.
• Improve platform scalability, maintainability and operational resilience.
• Write unit, integration and automated tests to keep software reliable.
• Take part in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Apply Clean Code principles, modern design patterns and engineering best practices.
• Support continuous integration and continuous delivery work.
• Help make deployments zero-downtime.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, QA, DevOps and other engineers.
• Join the on-call rotation and production support as part of the engineering team.
• Help with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and ongoing platform improvements.
• Share knowledge and help grow the team's engineering capability.

Requirements

• 6, 9 years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong experience with C, modern.NET and ASP.NET.
• Strong experience with Angular and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Good grasp of object-oriented programming and modern software engineering principles.
• Experience building applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and containerised applications.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, and willingness to work with OpenTofu or Terraform.
• Understanding of cloud-native application development.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Understanding of Clean Code principles and software design patterns.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering team.

Conditions

Full-time employment contract.

Gross base salary starts from PLN 19,267 per month, set using objective, gender-neutral criteria such as skillset, experience and role responsibilities.

This figure is the initial pay expected for the role and does not limit equal pay rights for women and men doing the same or equivalent work.
