Description

The company's technologies are used to produce around 80 percent of the world's microchips.

Its high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions help make chips that are smaller, more powerful and more energy efficient.

The company is a technology leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and the team works in the micro- and nanoelectronics field.

Responsibilities

  • Write software for high-precision lithography systems and build robust embedded control solutions for a demanding chip-manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with experienced specialists in software, electronics and system development, and help shape technical solutions from implementation through design decisions.
  • Build embedded control software for next-generation lithography systems, mainly coding bare-metal controllers in C.
  • Work on embedded Linux-based software components where needed.
  • Help define software architecture and turn requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
  • Create and extend test infrastructure to verify and validate software.
  • Examine technical requirements, runtime behaviour and edge cases to keep system performance reliable.
  • Join an agile, highly specialised development team.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, computer science, control systems, mathematics, physics or a similar field.
  • Recent, substantial hands-on experience in professional C development for bare-metal systems.
  • Solid grasp of low-level embedded concepts, including memory management and hardware-related programming.
  • Practical experience in machine-oriented software, embedded Linux or real-time environments.
  • Early experience with software architecture tasks and technical design decisions.
  • Sound knowledge of software design principles and the ability to derive solutions from requirements, runtime behaviour and relevant edge cases.
  • Python for test automation is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of FPGA or VHDL is ideally expected, though not required.
  • Strong analytical skills, a structured way of working and clear communication in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Good command of German and English.
