Description

LI-KO1

Just imagine shaping how the LEGO Group uses data and AI to create meaningful outcomes across finance and people functions. Then make it real.

The role is based in Copenhagen or Billund. Fluency in English is required.

About the role

You’ll shape and deliver the data and AI agenda for our Chief Financial Officer and People, Places & Culture organisations, bringing an outside perspective on how data and AI can help them achieve their goals. You won’t inherit an established team: this is an opportunity to lay the foundations for one.

Required Experiences

You’ve won over sceptical senior stakeholders and worked effectively through ambiguity and across organisational boundaries without direct authority.

You’ve turned business problems into prioritised data and AI roadmaps for finance or people functions, backed by business cases that secured leadership approval and investment.

You bring enough technical depth to judge feasibility with data science and engineering teams, supported by a solid understanding of data governance, data quality and data modelling.

You’ve applied data and AI in finance, human resources or corporate functions, handling sensitive people data responsibly, working within financial controls and meeting the rigorous standards these areas require.

Preferred Experiences

Experience in consumer products, retail or a large multinational organisation.

Delivered use cases such as financial forecasting, scenario modelling, workforce analytics, attrition prediction, talent planning or employee experience measurement.

Established a new data or analytics function from the ground up.

Familiarity with modern data platform architectures, including lakehouse and cloud-native approaches.

Experience navigating fragmented HR systems, ERP complexity and strict data privacy requirements.

A consulting or transformation background requiring influence without authority.

What you'll build

Partner with senior leaders to define a data and AI vision for finance and people functions.

Identify opportunities and turn them into prioritised roadmaps and business cases that guide investment and secure leadership sponsorship.

Bring together data, analytics, product and engineering teams to deliver early proofs of concept and pilots that demonstrate practical value.

Assess what data is available, missing or trustworthy, and identify the improvements needed to deliver the plans.

Represent the business’s needs to the enterprise data platform team, helping the platform evolve to support them.

Define the skills, roles and ways of working needed for a future embedded data and AI team.

Help leaders understand what data and AI can do, identify more ambitious opportunities and use data in everyday decisions.

Life on the team

You’ll report to the Vice President of the Data & AI Office within Digital Technology and sit on both the Data & AI Office leadership team and the Colleague Experience Technology leadership. Your Data & AI Office colleagues provide the enterprise data platform, governance and practices that help teams use data and AI responsibly.

What success looks like

By the end of your first year, senior leaders across finance and people functions will trust you as a partner, early pilots will have demonstrated value, and agreed priorities will be reflected in future investment plans.

Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. However, please note we do amend or withdraw our jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to any advertised closing date. So, if you're interested in this role we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
