Description

This is a hybrid role that requires you to work from a company office on average 2 days per week.

The company is a global edge-to-cloud business that helps customers connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications from edge to cloud. The Cybersecurity organization is growing.

The role is based in Reston, VA or Houston, TX.

You will be the central owner of governance for a portfolio of cybersecurity services, strategic partners and delivery engagements. You will make sure internal services run well, partners keep their commitments, risks surface early and leaders can see performance, progress and outcomes.

You will work with cybersecurity leaders, business stakeholders, procurement and delivery partners to set clear expectations, track performance, clear blockers and keep improving how services are delivered.

Job level: Expert. Job family: Information Technology.

Success in this role means building governance that people trust across internal cybersecurity third-party services, making delivery more transparent and accountable, and getting commitments and deliverables done. It also means producing measurable gains in service performance and stakeholder satisfaction, giving leaders accurate, timely and actionable reporting, and strengthening operational discipline and governance across the cybersecurity estate.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run frameworks that hold cybersecurity services and key partners accountable.
  • Define and maintain clear accountability, decision rights, escalation paths and performance expectations.
  • Make cybersecurity service delivery more transparent and consistent.
  • Define, monitor and report on service performance metrics, KPIs and SLAs.
  • Spot delivery risks, performance concerns and operational issues before they affect the business.
  • Hold delivery partners to their commitments, deadlines and contracted outcomes.
  • Lead recovery when performance falls short of expectations.
  • Be the go-to contact for governance on the services and partnerships you own.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior cybersecurity leaders, business stakeholders and service providers.
  • Align groups across the organization so work gets done.
  • Translate technical and operational detail into clear, direct updates that leaders can act on.
  • Work with delivery teams and procurement to evaluate providers, onboard them smoothly and launch services on schedule.
  • Use performance data to guide provider decisions and improve outcomes.
  • Track execution against agreed deliverables, milestones and outcomes.
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies and actions across your services, with clear ownership.
  • Close open actions and keep leaders informed about status, risks and performance.
  • Find ways to improve service quality, efficiency, governance maturity and stakeholder experience.
  • Promote best practice in service management, governance and operational oversight.
  • Help shape how cybersecurity services and performance standards change over time.

Requirements

  • You are highly organized and influential, and you do well in complex environments where governance, execution and stakeholder management meet.
  • You can move between the big picture and operational detail, bringing structure and clarity to large cybersecurity programmes.
  • You get results without formal authority, building alignment across groups and turning commitments into measurable outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 10+ years leading service governance, operational oversight, service delivery or strategic partner management.
  • 5+ years in cybersecurity, technology operations, IT service management, governance or risk.
  • A track record of building and running governance frameworks and executive-level reporting.
  • Solid understanding of service management, including KPI, SLA and performance management.
  • Experience working directly with senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • PMP, PRINCE2 or a similar program management certification.
  • Experience in large, global enterprise environments.
  • Experience with cybersecurity services, managed services or strategic technology partners.
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA or an equivalent cybersecurity certification.
