Description

This is a 12 month fixed-term contract content design role, ending Sunday 15 November 2026.

You will join a product team and help shape customer and colleague journeys from the beginning.

The company works in financial services and is focused on making complex products and processes clear to people.

Skills are built in many ways, so relevant transferable experience is welcome, even where the advert lists specific years of experience.

The company makes reasonable adjustments at every stage of recruitment to remove barriers. Tell them what you need.

Responsibilities

  • Shape information architecture, content hierarchy, page structures, interactions and calls to action.
  • Turn complicated financial products, processes and requirements into content that is easy to understand and act on.
  • Decide what people need to know, when they need to know it, and what helps them move forward.
  • Create and test content through research, usability testing, analytics and experiments.
  • Design content and interactions alongside Product Designers in Figma.
  • Work with research, product, engineering, legal, risk and business specialists to solve customer problems.
  • Use AI to summarise research, locate existing content, and spot complexity, inconsistency and duplication.
  • Use AI to generate, prototype and test different content approaches earlier in the process.
  • Build reusable prompts, workflows, agents and patterns that cut repetitive work and help teams learn sooner.
  • Review AI-generated content critically for accuracy, accessibility, tone, usefulness and customer understanding.

Requirements

  • A background in content design, UX writing or a similar user-centred role.
  • Strong writing skills, and the ability to pick up complex subjects quickly and explain them plainly.
  • Hands-on experience writing content for digital products and services.
  • A track record of using evidence to back up or challenge content decisions.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary product teams.
  • Experience taking work from discovery through to prototyping, testing and delivery.
  • Experience using research and testing to improve content.
  • Confidence working in Figma.
  • A solid grasp of accessibility and inclusive design.
  • The ability to think about whole journeys while still paying close attention to individual interactions.
  • Confidence spotting when a content problem is really a wider experience problem.
  • We are particularly interested in people who:
  • Experiment with generative AI in their content or design work.
  • Can show how AI has improved their work.
  • Review AI-generated content critically.
  • Understand why accuracy, evidence, accessibility and human oversight matter.
  • Are curious about how designers and AI could work together in new ways.
  • You do not need to be an expert in every AI tool. Curiosity, experimentation and strong content judgement matter more.
  • Experience of any of the following would be great:
  • Financial services, lending, fintech or another regulated environment.
  • Complex application, eligibility, decisioning or servicing journeys.
  • Customer and colleague experiences.
  • Design systems and reusable content patterns.
  • Conversational or AI-enabled experiences.
  • Reusable AI workflows or agents.
