Description

The company helps customers connect, protect, analyze and act on data across edge and cloud environments. This role sits in its Private Cloud and Flex Solutions business.

You will lead large, multi-site private cloud programs as one integrated program. The work brings together the company's compute, storage, networking and software with deployment services, professional services, managed services, local PMOs, partners and customer teams.

You join during the sales pursuit and stay through the handover to managed services. You own end-to-end leadership across factory build (Day 0), deployment (Day 1), migration (Day 2) and managed services operations (Day M).

Each product line runs its own roadmap and release cycle, and delivery is spread across several PMOs, engineering, managed services, partners and customers. You will align these groups, manage dependencies and lead recovery when outcomes are at risk.

The role needs program management skill, technical depth, relationship management, cross-functional leadership and close attention to detail. Visibility is high, so governance and executive communication matter.

Responsibilities

  • Bring sales, the Center of Excellence, business unit engineering, supply chain, services, local PMOs and partners onto one delivery plan from pre-sales, so that what is sold can be delivered.
  • Run structured handoff reviews at each phase change (pursuit to order, factory to site, deployment to operations) and confirm that documented entry and exit criteria are met.
  • Own the integrated master schedule from order through delivery, aligned to product release dates, material availability, dependencies and the critical path.
  • Direct execution across factory build, deployment, migration waves, cutovers, rollback planning and hypercare, working with local PMOs, deployment services, engineering and customer teams.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, governance and go/no-go readiness reviews across the program lifecycle.
  • Keep customer communication consistent and routed through agreed governance channels.
  • Raise issues early, with business impact assessments and recovery plans.
  • Work with CPMO leadership and executive sponsors to resolve risks before they reach customers or partners.
  • Maintain the RAID log (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) as the single source of truth, with an owner, mitigation and target date for every item.
  • Run formal change control for scope, schedule and cost changes.
  • Assess troubled programs, find root causes, build recovery plans and rebuild delivery health and stakeholder confidence.

Requirements

  • Give clear, concise and transparent status updates, and raise problems early with practical recovery options.
  • Accept accountability for program results even when delivery is spread across several teams and organizations.
  • Question assumptions, spot cross-functional dependencies, anticipate risk and deal with issues before they grow.
  • Drive decisions and alignment across teams without direct authority, and escalate when needed.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Have 10+ years leading complex global infrastructure programs, including data center or private cloud implementations across geographically distributed sites.
  • Have working knowledge of compute, enterprise storage and networking, plus private cloud or virtualization operating models.
  • Have a proven record of assessing, stabilizing and recovering troubled or at-risk programs.
  • Have extensive program management experience with Waterfall and/or Agile, covering integrated scheduling, RAID, financial oversight, resource planning and dependency management.
  • Have led large migration and cutover work across several locations and time zones.
  • Bring strong customer relationship management and executive communication skills.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence and SharePoint.
  • Be willing to travel globally, up to 20%, to support customer engagements and major implementation milestones.
  • Preferred: experience with security and compliance requirements, such as ATO accreditation, STIG hardening, NATO standards and vulnerability management.
  • Preferred: delivery in regulated industries. Government contracting experience and active security clearances are highly desirable.
  • Preferred: background in data center exit, consolidation, cloud migration and digital transformation.
  • Preferred: understanding of data center deployment (site readiness, rack and stack, cabling, provisioning, systems integration) and the ability to oversee deployment services teams.
  • Preferred: PMP (PMI), ITIL, Agile or related professional certifications.
