Description

The company builds collaboration and AI-powered workflow software for military planning and operational coordination, bringing planning, collaboration, simulation, and AI into one connected environment.

Founded in 2019 and valued at over $2 billion, the company is backed by General Catalyst, Battery Ventures, Insight Partners, Sapphire Ventures, and Human Capital, and is investing in product, AI, and team growth.

The team is distributed and made up of people with military, operational, and technology backgrounds. Some members work remotely, while others work directly with customers in operational settings around the world.

This Communications and Content Specialist role turns the communications strategy into accurate, clear, and timely content. You will report to the Director of Communications and keep the external message consistent across media, social channels, and executive platforms.

You will sit at the centre of daily communications work and coordinate with Marketing, Government Relations, the People Team, and senior leaders. The work demands steady handling of overlapping deadlines and reviewers, a precise editorial eye, and the skill to turn complex topics into short content for different audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and edit press releases, op-eds, executive bylines, talking points, briefing materials, and blog posts.
  • Turn complex business, product, policy, and industry subjects into concise content for different audiences without losing accuracy or context.
  • Look after core communications resources and run the cross-functional content calendar, spotting dependencies and resolving scheduling clashes.
  • Track news and industry discussion, and flag emerging risks and opportunities to the Communications Director.
  • Support rapid-response communications by researching, drafting, fact-checking, and coordinating distribution.
  • Draft, schedule, and adapt approved content for the company's social channels, following review requirements.
  • Research and write thought-leadership pieces that help senior leaders explain complex ideas clearly.
  • In your first six months, a good result looks like a steady daily and weekly routine for drafting, reviewing, and publishing; technical or policy material made accessible without losing accuracy or the company's voice; a well-kept content calendar that keeps Marketing, Government Relations, and Communications aligned; quick, accurate rapid-response and executive briefing materials; and practical suggestions for improving social and digital performance using audience data.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in writing, editing, proofreading, and fact-checking.
  • Experience producing external content across several formats and channels.
  • Strong project management, including handling concurrent deadlines, reviewers, and dependencies.
  • Good judgment with sensitive information, public issues, executive materials, and fast-moving communications.
  • Ability to pick up complex subjects quickly, ask precise questions, and work well with subject-matter experts.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of media relations, social publishing, and content management systems.
  • Preferred: experience managing editorial calendars and reporting on performance to refine content strategy.
