  • Find ways to improve search performance across the vertical.
  • Make sure content meets strict editorial and compliance standards before it is published.
  • Coach writers with clear, constructive feedback.
  • Write copy when needed.
  • Occasionally speak to the media about the company's insurance content and research.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in personal finance or insurance content. Editing experience is preferred.
  • Insurance experience in one or more types, such as home, car, health, business, or pet insurance. This may be shown through a licensed insurance agent role, a relevant certification, or substantial editing or writing about insurance.
  • Excellent organization skills, with the ability to keep a fast-growing content library under control.
  • Interest in or experience with SEO best practices, and comfort being the go-to SEO and content optimization resource for writers and editors.
  • Ability to give constructive feedback and coaching that builds strong working relationships with writers.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and grammar skills, with a firm commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and to lead several projects or tasks across a cross-disciplinary team.
  • Project management or freelancer management experience is a plus.
  • Interest in and working knowledge of AI tools is a plus.
