Co-op, AI Software Engineering (6-8 months)

Description

The company makes industrial automation technology, and its customers include manufacturers in food, medicine, water and transport. The company has more than 28,000 employees.

This co-op is hands-on work on AI-powered software that improves software quality, security, delivery speed and engineering efficiency within enterprise-scale industrial automation software development.

You will work alongside experienced software engineers, AI champions, architects and engineering leaders on real projects. A dedicated mentor will guide you, and you can join networking events and company activities.

Responsibilities

• Work with development teams in real software development environments and apply their development techniques.
• Gain exposure to the full development life cycle, agile methodology, system design, test-driven development, test automation, and build and configuration management.
• Build software applications, services and integrations using current software engineering practices and AI technologies.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or advanced degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Hold legal authorization to work in the U.S. The company will not sponsor employment visas for this role, now or in the future.
• Be available full-time for 6-8 months, either January-August 2027 or June-December 2027.

Conditions

Hybrid schedule in Milwaukee, WI or Mayfield Heights, OH.

Full-time co-op. Your eligibility window must be January-August 2027 or June-December 2027.

Hybrid policy: you are expected to work on site at a company location on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, unless you have a business obligation away from the office.

Hourly pay of $20-32. Actual pay depends on factors such as skills, knowledge, education and experience. The role is part of a job family, and experience determines position level and compensation.
