Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS, Terraform, K8S, Automation)

Description

This is a hands-on role building and running the company's AWS infrastructure, improving deployment workflows, and automating routine operations. The focus is AWS, Terraform, K8s, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain AWS infrastructure for production and non-production environments.
• Write and own Infrastructure as Code in Terraform.
• Run EKS workloads, handling deployments, scaling, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and release automation with Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Build automation and tooling in Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell to reduce manual work.
• Strengthen monitoring and alerting for AWS and K8s using Prometheus and New Relic.
• Push operational improvements through after incidents.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong AWS experience across EC2, EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, Route 53, and VPC networking.
• Strong Terraform experience.
• Strong grasp of Kubernetes fundamentals: networking, workloads, ingress, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or GitLab CI, or an equivalent.
• Solid Linux skills. Windows experience is a plus.
• Ability to write and maintain automation scripts and tools in Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and microservices deployment patterns.
• Experience with AWS CDK in TypeScript or Python, or with CloudFormation.
• Experience with Lambda, OpenSearch, Redis, AMQ, MySQL, and FSx.
• Strong AWS networking and security experience, including Transit Gateway, VPC peering, routing, security groups, and NACLs.
• Working knowledge of AD, DNS, and domain fundamentals.
