Description

The company develops medicines and diagnostics, with the aim of preventing, stopping and curing disease and making healthcare available now and in the future.

This role suits an experienced professional who has delivered complex programs and projects and led change management to get solutions adopted in biotech and pharma.

The job combines hands-on delivery with change work, so that initiatives meet their milestones, get past operational friction and adoption blockers, and deliver the business value they were set up for.

The company is scaling its capabilities in a data-driven setting, so the team needs someone who can connect technical staff, including software engineers and data scientists, with business execution and adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Scope, plan and run project roadmaps so that solutions are adopted and deliver value on schedule, working in iterations.
  • Apply consistent delivery standards and handle the day-to-day running of projects, including coordinating across functions and producing deliverables.
  • Help build and run the team processes used to produce critical deliverables.
  • Keep plans and program or project documents current, and make sure risks and issues are logged, tracked and shared quickly.
  • Identify operational, timeline and execution risks early, keep risk registers up to date, and handle escalations without delay.
  • Prepare clear data updates and progress metrics for executive governance bodies so decisions rest on accurate tracking.
  • Improve team performance by setting team norms, guiding decisions, and simplifying complicated cross-functional workflows.
  • Design and roll out adoption frameworks so that deliverables become part of daily work in every affected business unit.
  • Take the end user's view during planning: run impact assessments, map user journeys, and deal with adoption barriers and resistance as they come up.
  • Set up and track user proficiency, adoption rates and sustained value, working closely with project leads and sponsors.
  • Define metrics and measure outcomes for each program or project with sponsors and leads.
  • Prepare leaders and stakeholders through execution and delivery, explaining what is changing, why, and what it means for them, and keep stakeholders informed with accurate impact assessments.
  • Write clear, targeted communication plans covering leadership briefings, project newsletters and operational updates.
  • Give managers and functional leaders the narratives, tools and messages they need to back change and guide their teams through transitions.

Requirements

  • You have a solid record of leading cross-functional delivery and embedding business or operational solutions in clinical development, medical affairs or technology.
  • You have hands-on experience running programs or projects and keeping complex, cross-functional work on track with discipline and clarity.
  • You have led change management work, including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, adoption planning and managing resistance.
  • You communicate well in writing and in person, and can turn complex project information into clear stories for audiences from end users to senior leaders.
  • You build influence and relationships with key stakeholders, create alignment on outcomes, share information openly and strategically, and listen actively.
  • You are comfortable iterating and experimenting.
  • You think in systems, seeing how individual deliverables link to wider organizational goals and spotting dependencies, operational impacts and adoption risks early.
  • You work well in ambiguous, dynamic, matrixed settings where authority and accountability are shared, and you move teams to action using listening, direct influence and structured planning.
  • You keep objectives clear and produce a plan or roadmap that is easy to follow, even when the environment is ambiguous.
  • You are a curious learner who keeps building your knowledge, asks for feedback and acts on it.
  • You apply business knowledge to deliver maximum value to the company, which may include the molecule development lifecycle, marketing application filings, transformation initiatives, large technology systems and business process change.
  • You share learning across the network, reuse proven practices, and help build a culture of trust and inclusion.
  • You are skilled with project management, change management, business management and related tools, methods and approaches to build strategy and reach program, project or function goals.
  • Highly valued: experience or a strong understanding of data science and analytics projects, along with digital curiosity and broad knowledge of areas such as agentic AI.
  • Highly valued: a track record of leading and scaling data science, advanced analytics or AI/ML initiatives.
