Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

Description

The company is hiring a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to turn data into insights that help leaders make better business decisions.

You will work with business and technical stakeholders to build dependable, easy-to-use BI solutions, improve how data is integrated and accessed, and make complex information clear enough to act on.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI and Qlik.
• Turn business requirements into practical BI and reporting solutions.
• Write and tune SQL queries, stored procedures and database structures.
• Write Python scripts that transform data, automate tasks and handle integration.
• Build and maintain ETL processes, keeping data accurate and consistent.
• Talk with business and technical stakeholders to pin down their reporting and analysis needs.
• Make sure reporting solutions are high quality, reliable and fast.
• Help improve data architecture, BI standards and best practices.
• Find ways to work more efficiently and automate data and reporting work.

Requirements

• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on work with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
• Experience with QlikView and/or Qlik Sense, including scripting, data loading and dashboard development.
• Good working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience with ETL and data integration processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to turn business needs into workable technical solutions.
• Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Nice to have: experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Nice to have: knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
• Nice to have: experience with Git or other version-control tools.
