Description

The company is a growth-stage FinTech based in New York City. It is building a payment layer for everyday financial obligations, helping households view, divide and settle bills in step with how they earn and spend.

Eligible on-time payments can help build a positive credit history, and customers gain more say over when and how they pay. The team wants people who question existing practices, take ownership of hard problems, and push colleagues to do their best work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of data models that collect, transform and publish data for stakeholders and systems across the company.
  • Gather business requirements, set measurable goals for analytics work, and design data solutions that meet them.
  • Set company-wide rules for data structure, quality and expectations.
  • Shape the processes, systems and tools that help teams make better decisions at scale, strengthening the company's data culture.
  • Help stakeholders find the data they need quickly by building stronger data products. Work with analysts, engineers, product managers and others to define requirements, and own delivery of the final product.
  • As part of the broader Data team, you will report to the Director of Analytics Engineering and support several areas across the company.

Requirements

  • 6+ years as an analytics engineer or in an equivalent role, with a record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale.
  • Expert SQL skills, including writing efficient queries, and deep experience with data warehouses, specifically Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with common BI tools, preferably Sigma Computing, Tableau, Mode, or similar.
  • Expert proficiency with dbt or a comparable data modeling tool.
  • A clear view of the analytics engineering lifecycle: data modeling, version control, documentation and testing, and codebase best practices including CI/CD.
  • Experience in fintech.

Conditions

The company sets pay by market, based on your experience and its internal leveling guidelines.

For Tier 1 markets (NYC and Bay Area), the base salary range is $200,000 to $240,000 USD.

Outside those cities, starting pay is adjusted for your geographic zone using a geographic pay differential based on a cost of labor index; ask your recruiter for the range in your location.

This is a hybrid role with on-site expectations of 3 days per week at the New York headquarters. Candidates outside the NY/NJ area may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Roles in New York, San Francisco and Salt Lake City are hybrid, with on-site expectations of 2-3 days per week at local offices. Candidates outside these areas may be eligible for relocation assistance.

The company's headquarters is in New York City, and employees are spread across the US, Australia, Canada and South America. The company is an equal opportunity employer.
