Description

You will join the Analytics and Performance Operations team, which supports the US Commercial organization. The team is growing and includes researchers, analysts and data subject matter experts working to become the top research and analytics group in biopharma.

The team advises Marketing, Sales and Leadership from the inside and treats data as a route to insight rather than the end goal. It values clarity but accepts ambiguity, and it builds new skills and capabilities.

The company develops medicines across areas including immunology, oncology and neuroscience, and also offers aesthetics products.

In this manager role you will build and carry out data strategy plans for the Market Access and Patient Services group. You will report to the Associate Director of Market Access and Patient Services Data Transformation and support enterprise capabilities for the APEX team.

  • Diagnose complicated data problems and build fixes that hold up over time
  • Create and run a plan for acquiring and enabling data across the Market Access data domains
  • Act as the subject matter expert for key Market Access areas such as claims, payor and plan hierarchies and syndicated data assets
  • Lead the design, build and rollout of new BI platforms and analytics solutions
  • Keep improving platforms as business needs and technology change
  • Set and maintain BI standards, best practices and governance frameworks
  • Work with business stakeholders to collect, document and manage requirements for key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Define and maintain business rules that keep data accurate and consistent across reports
  • Turn complex business needs into technical specifications for BI solutions
  • Assess new and existing data assets and recommend their use cases to analytics teams

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Engineering and/or Operations
  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience leading projects independently
  • Working knowledge of managed market controls and pricing (trade, PBMs, payors, government), pharmaceutical supply chain, health system affiliations and formulary data
  • Consulting experience with technology or analytics services companies is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of syndicated pharmaceutical data sources, including claims data
  • A proven record of taking BI initiatives from concept to production
  • A strong analytical mindset and a genuine interest in working with data
  • Hands-on skill with BI tools and platforms such as Power BI
  • Experience with data modeling and database design principles
  • Hands-on ability with ETL tools, programming languages and cloud infrastructure, including SQL, Trino, Snowflake and AWS
  • Strong experience with data enablement, including dimensional data models, ETL workflows and SQL queries across a range of technologies that support descriptive and predictive analytics
