Description

The company makes fuel-flexible, low-emissions local power systems that can add new capacity quickly and deliver reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity.

Its linear generators began commercial shipments in 2020. Hundreds of megawatts are now in advanced development or running in the field for Fortune 500 companies, data centers, and utilities.

The company partners with energy firms including AEP, NextEra Energy Resources, and Schneider Electric, among others.

The Fleet Operations & Analytics team runs and monitors the generator fleet, works through faults, leads incident resolution, and analyzes performance data to improve the product and report on fleet results.

The role spans thermodynamics, mechanical, electrical, software, and controls, and the team is growing quickly across functions. You will have room to shape how this work is done, working where operations, systems engineering, and analytics meet.

Responsibilities

  • Run day-to-day operations across the growing generator fleet, including remote control, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents
  • Help build and use a real-time monitoring and communication platform with a cross-functional team
  • Report on NERC compliance metrics and keep the fleet aligned with regulatory requirements
  • Produce analytics on fleet availability, performance, and connectivity for the service, engineering, and sales teams
  • Spot and raise the biggest opportunities to improve performance and reliability
  • Log operational issues, their root causes, and how they were resolved
  • Prepare accurate, detailed data reports for customers and regulators
  • Build internal tools that automate work and streamline reporting
  • Plan and carry out scheduled and unplanned service visits with the operations and maintenance group
  • Work alongside quality assurance, reliability, product validation, test engineering, and software development to learn across disciplines
  • Help find, hire, and train new team members as the group expands

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in an engineering field; mechanical or electrical is preferred
  • A record of setting up disciplined operating and training processes, with documented workflows, clear handoffs, and detailed incident reports and analysis
  • Strong organization and the ability to juggle several priorities at once
  • Solid engineering fundamentals applied to large physical systems
  • Prior experience analyzing and troubleshooting whole systems, understanding how mechanical, electrical, controls, and software parts affect each other
  • A history of solving complex faults and making sound calls under pressure, communicating and documenting methodically
  • Experience analyzing engineering data, including time-series data, and building dashboards with cloud-based or industry-standard tools
  • Interest in and ability to build automated software tools and processes; Python is preferred

Conditions

You do not need to meet every listed requirement to apply, since the company may adjust responsibilities for the right person or point you to a better-fitting role.

The stated compensation and benefits information is the company's estimate as of publication and may change.
