  • Understand real-world mission and business objectives, along with the software development practices and tools used to deliver them.

  • Work with Product Owners to rank the backlog and tie requirements to business objectives and roadmap goals.

  • Confirm requirements with Product Owners and Functional SMEs, then pass business needs to the development team through stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Write and validate testable acceptance criteria that support test-driven development and sign-off on completed work.
  • Elaborate upcoming work items so they are ready for future iterations.
  • Lead stakeholder demonstrations and report results at the end of each software iteration.

Requirements

  • You must be a U.S. citizen and hold a DoD Secret clearance.
  • You must pass a background investigation. Checks include, but are not limited to, felony convictions within the past 3 years, illegal drug use within the past 1 year, and misconduct such as theft or fraud within the past 1 year.
  • A B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • At least 5+ years of experience as a business analyst on iterative software development projects.
  • Familiarity with SAFe or Agile methods.
