The team supports customer missions with the aim of protecting the nation. Deployments to the CENTCOM area of responsibility last 6 to 12 months and rotate with other deployers, so you must be willing and available to go.

  • Launch and recover air vehicles, and run pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight checks.
  • Travel within the continental US and overseas, including to possible conflict zones, on short notice to share threat information.
  • Support vulnerability site assessments so the analyst team knows where UAS could be used.
  • Work with national and international intelligence agencies on data sharing, trend analysis and procedures.
  • Plan and run flight operations for training and test events, acting as safety officer.
  • Produce detailed technical red-team analysis.
  • Carry out all functional duties on your own.
  • Operate as part of a small team, living and working closely with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Experience with DCMA 8210, HQDA 228-24 and AR 951.
  • Active Secret clearance, and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience teaching large groups of junior and senior personnel in a military setting.
  • Education and experience: a BA/BS with 0-3 years, an AA/AS with 4 years, or an HS/GED with 6 years.
  • Experience with COTS multi-rotor and fixed-wing aircraft, including hobbyist UAS.
  • Experience with pre-deployment training and knowledge sharing for field training exercises (FTX), validation exercises (VALEX) and other technical exchange events.
  • Able to obtain a Certified FAA UAS Pilot License.
  • Able to complete CRC and deploy to the CENTCOM theater.
  • Able to obtain an Amateur Radio Technician License.
  • Experience with RPVs on land, in the air and at sea, and able to design and build them with minimal guidance or from pre-built kits.
  • Able to research emerging RPV technology, explain its benefits, and assess its impact on DoD capabilities.
  • Knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
  • Able to teach others about RPV technology, including its capabilities, limits and impact on DoD capabilities.
  • Skilled with standard MS Office applications and intelligence automation tools for analysis and product development.
  • Able to define and run scenarios in test or training events where RPV technology applies.
  • Able to understand customer needs and guide correct RPV use at technical exchange or test events.
  • Able to work independently in other locations and with other organizations and military units.
  • Able to communicate and work effectively in a team.
