Description

The role sits in the Portfolio Lifecycle Operations group, reports to the Senior Manager of PLO, and supports the Multi-Port business unit, which is growing quickly and working on new innovations.

You will manage projects across the whole life of the company's multi-port products, from planning before commercial launch, through launch, to global retirement.

The job covers several regions at once, so you need a global outlook and must quickly understand the specific challenges and opportunities in each one.

You will work in a busy team and make sound calls when timelines are tight and information is incomplete, which is normal in portfolio lifecycle work.

The background we are looking for combines operational excellence, business process development and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Work with core functions in the US and internationally to get products commercially ready, in line with the company's Quality Management System and applicable regulations.
  • Align commercial timelines, requirements and priorities with Commercial and Executive Leadership, acting as the link that drives this alignment.
  • Find, build and help roll out process improvements, enabling tools and systems that add real value to PLO, the Program Management Office and the Multi-Port business unit.
  • Raise threats to commercial projects with functional management and senior leadership when needed.
  • Forecast the resources needed to meet objectives and manage them effectively and efficiently.
  • Run project management for all Approved Product List (APL) activities and provide hypercare for first product imports and shipments.
  • Work with Global Commercial leadership, the Project Management Office, Customer Success, Trade Compliance, Global Logistics, Regulatory Affairs, Product Quality and shared service teams to identify critical path milestones and build project plans and timelines.
  • Lead core team meetings to track milestones, flag risks and likely delays, build contingency plans, weigh options for commercial and regional readiness, and keep communication flowing.
  • Work with subject matter experts to assess regional requirements (such as regulatory, trade compliance, hardware compliance and import/export), then set up processes that keep the company compliant in each region.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in medical devices, either as a project manager or in a regulatory, order management, logistics, operations, marketing or services role.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business process development, operational excellence and change management.
  • Strong written and oral English is required.
  • Strong communication, documentation and organisation skills.
  • Ability to juggle several fast-paced projects at once.
  • Comfortable meeting international teams frequently outside normal business hours.
  • An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • A PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience leading projects in complex international markets is a strong plus, such as Japan, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy or the U.S.

Conditions

You may be required to show current proof of vaccination against certain diseases, including COVID-19, depending on the role.

Some roles are subject to U.S. export controls. Offers may depend on an approved export license and/or a Technology Control Plan being in place before the start date. The government licensing process can take 3 to 6+ months, and a Technology Control Plan typically adds 2 weeks to hiring. Candidates will be told if this applies.

The company considers qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in line with fair chance laws.

The role may be filled at a different job level depending on business need and the selected candidate's experience, knowledge and skills.

Pay is based mainly on the job level the role is filled at and the candidate's qualifications, consistent with applicable law.
