Business Analyst - Engineering

Description

The company is hiring a specialist business analyst for its engineering and manufacturing engineering work, based in Coimbra or Lisbon, within its global business services unit.

You will work through complex tasks with light supervision, lead parts of projects, and informally guide less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Keep KPI dashboards for engineering and manufacturing engineering current on your own, review interim delivery plans, and build a working link with finance data owners.
• Run the subcontracting process from purchase order tracking through goods receipt, flag late-delivery risks to stakeholders before they arise, and drive supplier performance review milestones with supplier chain managers in the core countries.
• Maintain and update workforce dashboards across several domains and programmes, sorting resources accurately into internal, external and extended-make categories with the stakeholders concerned.
• Spot complex business risks and opportunities that go beyond the formal data status, and turn them into clear insights for internal customers.
• Help build solutions to recurring complex problems and act as a dependable day-to-day contact for remote international stakeholders.
• Play an active part in local initiatives that shape the company Portugal local team, help centralise business management, standardise processes for all internal customers, and push for better ways of working using lean management and Six Sigma.

Requirements

• You hold a degree in business management, finance or engineering, or can show an equivalent record in business analysis, data management or operational tracking.
• You have full professional proficiency built through job-related training and substantial experience in business analysis, data management or financial control.
• You work with limited supervision and have shown you can support less experienced colleagues informally.
• You have advanced skills in Google Workspace, including scripting and App Script automation, and in Microsoft Excel.
• You speak fluent English. French, German or Spanish is a plus.

Conditions

This is a permanent position at professional experience level.

The role is hybrid, combining onsite and offsite work, based at the Parque das Nações office in Lisbon or in Coimbra.
