Business Analyst - Engineering

Description

The company is hiring a specialist business analyst for engineering and manufacturing engineering in its Lisbon or Coimbra global business services team.

You will handle complex tasks with limited supervision, lead parts of projects, and act as an informal resource and mentor for less experienced teammates.

Responsibilities

• Start by updating defined tasks for the engineering and manufacturing engineering functions, then work up to owning KPI dashboards, reviewing interim delivery plans, and building a steady working link with finance data and stakeholders.
• Support the subcontracting process, from tracking purchase orders to goods receipt, and in time take it over. Spot likely late deliveries early and alert stakeholders. Drive supplier performance review milestones with supply chain managers in core countries.
• Help manage workforce planning by keeping workload and workforce dashboards current across domains and programmes, updating resource data, and staying aligned with the people involved.
• Look beyond the formal data status to find complex business risks and opportunities, and turn them into clear insights for internal customers.
• Work under the direct direction of the business management teams. Help build solutions to recurring complex problems and act as a dependable day-to-day contact for remote international stakeholders.
• Play an active part in local initiatives that shape the purpose of the local team in Portugal. Help centralize business management, lead work to standardize processes across internal customers, and push for better ways of working using lean management and Six Sigma.

Requirements

• A degree in business management, finance or engineering, or an equivalent record in business analysis, data management or operational tracking.
• Early-career to fully professional experience, gained through job training, considerable work experience, or both, in basic to advanced business analysis, data management or financial control.
• You work with limited supervision.
• Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Looker Studio) and Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent English is required. French, German or Spanish is a plus.

Conditions
