Business Analyst - Engineering

Description

The company is hiring a Senior Business Analyst for Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering in its the company GBS team, based in Lisbon or Coimbra.

The role calls for a wide view of problems, handling many kinds of analysis work, pulling the key issues out of varied data, and proposing new solutions that work for the business.

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Finance stakeholders to refine KPI frameworks so that delivery plans, budgets and operational risks are clearly visible.
• Take part in managing engineering service procurement. Work with core-country SCMs on high-impact supplier performance reviews (PRM) to reduce late deliveries and clear goods receipt blockers.
• Review workload and capacity data across NatCos and programmes, showing how internal, external and extended-make resources are allocated so stakeholders can decide well.
• Look past standard reporting to find operational risks and opportunities (R&O), and turn mixed data into practical recommendations for internal customers.
• Build trusted, professional working relationships with remote international teams, handling varied stakeholder needs with confidence.
• Lead local initiatives for the company Portugal team: centralise business management activities, set and enforce standard processes for all internal customers, and improve GBS ways of working by coaching the team in lean management and Six Sigma.

Requirements

• A degree in Business Management, Finance or Engineering, or an equivalent proven record in business analysis, data management or operational tracking.
• Extensive, proven experience in business performance, engineering support or financial analysis, with a good ability to juggle varied tasks and read detailed operational data.
• A highly structured approach, the ability to see problems from a wide angle, find less obvious solutions, and drive initiatives with little supervision.
• Full command of Google Workspace (including automation and coding) and advanced Microsoft Excel data modelling.
• Fluent English is required. French, German or Spanish is a plus.

Conditions

Hybrid working, combining time onsite and offsite.
