Description

The company provides consulting, technology, and support services to U.S. government, defense, and intelligence agencies, helping them solve complex problems.

The role focuses on automating business processes and building custom apps and reports, mainly with Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI.

You will work directly with customers to define what to build, document the design, and then implement it in development and production.

Responsibilities

  • Run discovery sessions with customer stakeholders, chart how work is currently done, and turn that into functional and technical requirements.
  • Prepare solution designs, data flow diagrams, and process maps before building, then take them to customers for review and approval.
  • Create Power Automate cloud flows and Power Apps in canvas and model-driven forms that connect to SharePoint Online, Dataverse, Outlook, Teams, SQL, Excel, REST, Microsoft Graph, and other sources where needed.
  • Use Power Query (M) as the main tool for pulling, reshaping, joining, and cleaning data from scattered sources across Power BI, Dataflows, and Excel, producing reliable reusable models.
  • Develop Power BI semantic models and reports, including star-schema design, DAX measures, row-level security, gateway setup, and scheduled or incremental refresh.
  • Model Dataverse tables, relationships, and security roles, and judge whether a SharePoint list is enough or Dataverse is justified.
  • Manage the application lifecycle: solutions, dev, test, and prod environments, connection references, environment variables, and managed deployments.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of relevant IT experience.
  • At least 5 years building production solutions on Power Platform and Power BI.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • A current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, which you must keep active.
  • At least one certification meeting DoD IAT level II, such as CompTIA Security+CE or an equivalent, which you must keep current.
  • Experience with Power Platform in GCC, GCC High, or DoD regions, and awareness of connector and feature gaps compared with commercial.
  • Advanced Power Query (M): custom functions, parameters, query folding, and incremental refresh.
  • Power Automate: expressions, error handling with scopes and run-after settings, approvals, child flows, and HTTP or Graph calls.
  • Power Apps: Power Fx, delegation-aware design, component libraries, and responsive layouts.
  • Power BI: DAX, data modeling, RLS, deployment pipelines, and administering an on-premises data gateway.
  • SharePoint Online lists, libraries, and permissions, including work with SharePoint and Graph APIs.
  • Proven experience leading requirements sessions with non-technical stakeholders and producing design documents they can sign off on.
  • Strong written and spoken communication, including presenting designs and status to customer leadership.
  • Able to take a solution from start to finish with little supervision.
  • Preferred: Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 or PL-400, or PL-200 or PL-600 if held before they were retired.
  • Preferred: experience with Copilot Studio, custom connectors, or Azure services such as Logic Apps, Functions, and SQL.
  • Preferred: experience supporting DoD or federal customers.

Conditions
