  • Provide round-the-clock technical support, including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing streaming, audio and video production equipment, and coordinate installs with vendors and production crews.
  • Write up quality standards, system faults, procedures, reference material and project work. Draw system documentation in AutoCAD and log incidents and requests in the ITSM ticketing tool.
  • Keep parts and supplies stocked by working with procurement and asset management to order and track inventory.

Requirements

  • Usually 1 or more years in television, multimedia, IT client service or broadcast maintenance, including board-level troubleshooting and repair of broadcast and computer equipment.
  • Experience with television or multimedia production workflows.
  • Working knowledge of servers, network topology and operating systems such as Windows and Unix.
  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing field conditions.
  • Able to manage your own workload and help manage a group of peers, with support from management.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders to install equipment and cable.
  • Knowledge of desktop hardware, applications and data networking.
  • 2 or 4 year technical degree, ideally in electronics or computer engineering, or equivalent education, experience or training.
  • Desirable: willingness to learn the company's proprietary equipment and applications.
  • Desirable: exposure to vendors such as Sony, Harmonic and Evertz.
  • Desirable: Microsoft network certification or similar.
  • Desirable: software programming skills such as HTML, Visual Basic, C++ or scripting.
