Application Engineer

Description

The account specialist grows sales by finding and creating opportunities with many kinds of customers.

The role works alongside account representatives in an assigned territory to build deep knowledge of one product group.

The specialist teaches customers about the company's industrial products through technical presentations.

Responsibilities

• Grow revenue and margins by winning new business and expanding existing accounts.
• Meet customers in person often to build strong relationships and keep them satisfied.
• Interpret complex customer requirements and prepare customized quotes.
• Give clear sales presentations and confirm the customer's technical needs are met.
• Help troubleshoot customer problems on site.
• Find, quote, engineer, and close product and solution sales with local customers.
• Provide technical support when needed.
• Coordinate with vendor resources to strengthen relationships and support sales.
• Take on other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is typically expected, along with industry and sales experience.
• Knowledge of industrial products, including power transmission, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A solid grasp of core sales principles and best practices.
• The ability to influence customers while keeping good working relationships.
• The ability to take initiative and work with little direction.
• The ability to juggle several tasks and manage your time well.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Conditions

Base pay ranges from $63,168.00 to $104,697.00 per year.

This range covers base pay only. Total compensation may fall outside it, depending on location, skills, education, and experience.

Travel is required, and you may be asked to be on call on nights or weekends, depending on need.
