Application Engineer - Bilingual in Korean (OH)

Description

The role supports IT and manufacturing application systems at EV battery production facilities across North America.

You will combine IT skills with manufacturing operations to keep factory automation running, fix production system problems, and help raise plant efficiency.

The ideal candidate has worked with manufacturing systems and likes solving technical problems in a production setting that moves quickly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and troubleshoot IT and manufacturing application problems at EV battery plants.
• Watch over manufacturing systems to keep them stable and dependable.
• Take part in system rollouts, upgrades, and routine upkeep.
• Work with plant users, IT vendors, and internal teams to close out technical issues.
• Write technical documentation, reports, and user guides.
• Train users and give technical support on manufacturing systems.
• Help implement and test factory automation software, working alongside equipment and PLC engineers.
• Find and fix production-related system issues quickly.
• Work with cross-functional teams in a multicultural setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing, IT systems, or manufacturing system management.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work alone and as part of a team, with self-motivation.
• Preferred: experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle SQL.
• Preferred: experience supporting manufacturing systems such as MES, WMS, ERP, or MCS.
• Preferred: familiarity with factory automation environments.
• Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: Korean language skills, which are a plus but not required.
• Preferred: experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Conditions

Full-time position.

Up to 30% travel may be required.

Business trips may last 1 to 5 weeks, depending on project needs.
