Application Engineer (Software)

Description

The role is an Application Engineer (Software) in the Inductive Position Sensing product line, supporting industrial and automotive sensing products.

You will build software applications, simulation workflows and cloud deployment solutions, working alongside Product Management, Engineering and Marketing on software, prototypes, cloud solutions and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality web-based applications.
• Help plan, design and implement new software solutions.
• Write, document and maintain clean, scalable and efficient code.
• Create and manage complex PCB geometries for simulation and modeling.
• Integrate software with AWS cloud environments and support deployments.
• Build reference prototypes from Gerber files.
• Test, maintain and optimize existing codebases for reliability, performance and quality.
• Write clear, thorough technical documentation for development and customer needs.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of software development, application engineering or related engineering experience.
• Programming skills in C, C++ and Python; Fortran is a plus.
• Experience debugging, troubleshooting and optimizing code.
• Basic understanding of AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Familiarity with Git or another version control system.
• Knowledge of PCB design and Gerber file formats is an advantage.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
