App Engineer - Discovery & Consideration (all genders)

Description

The role sits in the Discovery & Consideration area of the app, where you build Flutter features that help shoppers find products and move toward a purchase.

The team is made up of experienced engineers, product managers, QA specialists and designers, and works with a flat structure and direct communication.

Responsibilities

• Build new features and components in the Dart and Flutter app, aiming for top performance.
• Partner with engineers, product managers, QA and designers to ship new work.
• Implement high-impact features that improve UI/UX and conversion rates.
• Shape team processes through regular agile retrospectives, and work with the wider team and other stakeholders to set acceptance criteria and confirm features meet requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of mobile development experience, including at least 1 year of Flutter development.
• Strong skills in UI development and in building complex frontend logic.
• You write clean, efficient, maintainable code and help keep the codebase in good shape.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in English.
• You are self-driven, take ownership, and can deliver a complex feature with little supervision.
• You communicate openly, honestly and clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• You share knowledge, help others grow, and work toward shared team goals.
• Design awareness and the ability to work closely with designers.
• Familiarity with gRPC and Go in a shop backend environment.
• Experience in UI and animation development.
