Description

The company builds an AI operating system for renewable energy installers, covering planning and selling solar, battery storage and heat pump solutions, plus day-to-day operations. More than 3,000 businesses use it, and the company is growing quickly.

This is a fully onsite internship in Augsburg lasting 4 to 6 months. You will sit between product, engineering and customers, helping make sure features are well tested, releases go out smoothly, and customer feedback flows back into how the product is built.

You will own real work from the first day and collaborate closely with engineers and other teams to improve both the product and how it is built and released.

Responsibilities

  • Help plan and run testing for upcoming releases, and test new features while they are still in development. Flag problems early with clear, actionable feedback for engineering.
  • Track features, changes, dependencies and release timelines, and act as the link between product, engineering and other teams.
  • Look past whether a feature simply works. Consider edge cases, usability, customer workflows and how each change affects the wider product.
  • Sort user feedback and bug reports, reproduce issues, and turn what you find into clear, well-described tickets for engineering.
  • Write release notes, help run internal demos, and make sure colleagues understand what changed and how new functionality works.
  • Work with engineers throughout development: ask good questions and clear up ambiguity before features reach customers.
  • Learn how the businesses using the product operate, and use that context to inform product decisions.

Requirements

  • You think beyond checklists and want to know why something is being built, who it serves and what makes it useful.
  • You notice inconsistencies, edge cases and potential issues before customers do.
  • You communicate clearly with engineers, product colleagues and other stakeholders. Professional English (C1 or higher) is required.
  • You are curious about how software works and willing to dig into technical details, investigate bugs and learn new concepts.
  • You already use AI tools to build things, and can quickly put together a rough prototype that shows engineers how a complex feature could work before the real build starts. Coding is not required.
  • You care about the experience of people using the product and can turn qualitative feedback into actionable insights.
  • You take responsibility, follow things through, and solve problems yourself rather than waiting for someone else.
  • You are comfortable in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and processes are still being set up.
  • You are currently enrolled at a university and available full-time for 4 to 6 months. A background in economics, engineering, computer science or a related field is helpful but not required.
  • Nice to have: internships, working student roles or university projects in product management, product operations, QA, software development or B2B SaaS.

Conditions

Full-time, on-site internship in Augsburg, 4 to 6 months.

Equal opportunity: candidates are welcome regardless of background, and you should apply even if you do not meet every requirement.

Benefits

  • Work on software that helps businesses speed up the shift to renewable energy.
  • Your work reaches real users, since more than 3,000 paying B2B customers use the platform.
  • Hands-on product management experience at a fast-growing startup, with close mentoring from the product and engineering team.
  • Room to influence how the team works and how the product evolves, even as an intern.
  • A multinational team that works hard, learns from each other and has fun together.
  • MacBook, gym membership subsidy, regular team events, coffee, Deutschlandticket and other perks.
  • A competitive internship salary.
