AI Product Analyst Intern

Description

Internship on the product team within the AI and incubation group, testing how generative AI and AI-powered tools can speed up market research, competitive intelligence, product analysis and development.

The team works across automotive, aerospace, defense, industrial, medical and telecom markets. You will work alongside product managers, engineers, sales and marketing staff on AI-driven product work.

Responsibilities

• Apply generative AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude to research, competitor review, summaries, trend spotting and finding business openings.
• Test prompt engineering methods that make AI-assisted research and analysis more accurate, consistent and quick.
• Help with market and competitor research using public material, industry reports and AI research tools.
• Sort and analyze market data to pinpoint customer needs, new technologies, AI adoption and possible business opportunities.
• Help build AI-supported dashboards, slide decks, competitor profiles, feature comparisons and short opportunity briefs.
• Assist product managers with requirements, user stories, feature analysis, positioning and scope.
• Try out AI development and command line assistants such as Amazon Kiro, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex or similar tools.
• Learn how edge AI, embedded systems and cloud technology apply across the target industries.
• Join sprint planning, product discussions, customer workshops, engineering talks and product demos.
• Work with product, engineering, sales and other teams to find where AI insights can shape product decisions and workflows.
• Record AI use cases, prompts, lessons, templates and good practice so AI use in product work can grow.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in business administration, computer science, business analytics, engineering, economics, finance or a related field.
• Keen interest in AI, generative AI and building AI into products.
• Hands-on use of ChatGPT, Claude or similar tools from coursework, personal projects, internships or other work.
• Wish to learn and apply prompt engineering and AI-assisted research.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, with an interest in turning data into useful findings.
• Practical experience with Excel and PowerPoint from school, projects, internships or work.
• Clear written and spoken English.
• Able to work well with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• A plus, but not required: prior coursework, projects or internship work in AI, data analysis, market research, product analytics or competitive analysis.
• A plus, but not required: familiarity with AI CLI assistants such as Amazon Kiro, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex or similar platforms.
• A plus, but not required: familiarity with edge AI, embedded systems, cloud technology, data visualization, Jira or GitLab.
• Curious and proactive, and willing to try new AI tools in a fast-moving setting.

Conditions

Pay is $4,500 to $5,500 USD per month. The exact amount depends on interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, location and abilities, along with fairness relative to other team members.
