AI Pre-Sales Partner Engineer

You will act as the technical partner to the AI Alliance Partner Manager, turning partner AI, autonomy and data technology into solutions the company can use.

This is an internal technical leadership role focused on building awareness, organizing technical engagements and helping divisions adopt partner platforms. Coding is optional. What matters most is understanding the technology, seeing its mission value and presenting it well.

Responsibilities

• Help find and recruit high-value AI, data and autonomy partners.
• Assess partners' technical capabilities, architectures and integration methods.
• Give early demos that show what sets a partner apart and where it fits the mission.
• Co-design and document joint solution architectures, reusable patterns and PoC frameworks.
• Organize and coordinate internal PoCs and Builds with partner and company teams.
• Bring partner technology into company offerings and Digital Accelerators.
• Create demo assets, sales kits and technical placemats.
• Run workshops, hackathons, Technology Days and demos for divisions across the company.
• Build certification paths and training roadmaps with enablement teams.
• Drive understanding and use of partner capabilities among internal stakeholders.
• Act as the single technical contact for partner issues and questions.
• Troubleshoot integration problems and work with partner engineers to resolve them.
• Support live demos and solutions during partner and customer engagements.
• Keep partner technical scorecards current across products and platforms.
• Work with the Partner Manager on co-selling, co-marketing and co-delivery plans.
• Support strategic accounts, captures and proposals that use partner technology.
• Build internal demand pipelines by matching partner capabilities to mission needs.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree with 12+ years in technology consulting, pre-sales engineering, partner engineering or solutions architecture, or a Master's degree with 8+ years in those areas.
• 3-5+ years in technical partner roles, pre-sales engineering or solution architecture.
• Strong grasp of cloud architecture, API integration, modern development workflows and proprietary platforms such as Hivemind, Echelon, Foundry and Lattice.
• Hands-on experience with major AI and data platforms: Palantir, Databricks, Snowflake, Anthropic, xAI and OpenAI.
• Familiarity with AWS services including Kiro, SageMaker, Bedrock, Q and EMR, plus AWS partner programs.
• A proven record supporting AI and data solutions for public sector missions.
• Excellent communication and demo skills, from technical deep dives to executive briefings.
• The role lists 15+ years of related experience.

• US citizenship is required because the role needs a security clearance.
• Preferred: comfortable with impromptu demos, rapid PoCs and unscripted technical discussions.
• Preferred: balances deep technical problem solving with awareness of business growth.
• Preferred: builds trusted relationships with internal teams and partner technical leaders.

Conditions

Regular position in the Washington DC Metro area, hybrid, with the listed site in Falls Church, VA.

Scheduled at 40 hours per week, with travel under 10%.

• Likely salary range of $187,179 to $253,000. This is not a guarantee. Pay depends on experience, geographic location and possibly contract terms, and may fall outside this range.
